JOB SUMMARY
The Education Course Facilitator Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the facilitation and coordination of academic courses within the university. This role ensures the smooth delivery of online and in-person courses, supports faculty and facilitators, and enhances student engagement and learning outcomes. The Coordinator works closely with academic leadership, faculty, and instructional designers to maintain course quality and alignment with university standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Course Facilitation and Coordination
· Manage the scheduling and assignment of course facilitators for various academic programs.
· Ensure course facilitators receive necessary training and resources for effective instruction.
· Support faculty in implementing instructional strategies that enhance student engagement and learning.
· Monitor course delivery and address any logistical or instructional challenges.
FACULTY AND FACILITATOR SUPPORT
· Provide ongoing training and professional development for course facilitators.
· Act as the main point of contact for facilitators, assisting with course materials, technology, and best practices.
· Collect feedback from facilitators and faculty to improve course facilitation processes.
STUDENT ENGAGEMENT AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT
· Ensure facilitators are equipped to provide academic support and guidance to students.
· Develop strategies to enhance student participation and success in courses.
· Address student concerns related to course facilitation and instructional delivery.
CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
· Work with faculty and instructional designers to ensure course content is up to date and effective.
· Assist in implementing innovative teaching methodologies and digital learning tools.
· Collaborate with academic departments to assess and improve course structures.
QUALITY ASSURANCE AND COMPLIANCE
· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of course facilitation and instruction.
· Ensure compliance with university policies, accreditation standards, and best practices in education.
· Maintain accurate records of facilitator assignments, training, and course evaluations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in course facilitation, academic coordination, or faculty support in a university setting.
· Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and digital education tools.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
· Strong organizational and coordination skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of instructional design, curriculum development, and higher education policies.
WORK CONDITIONS AND TRAVEL
· Office-based with flexibility for remote work depending on course format.
· Occasional travel for training, faculty meetings, and schools events.
