ABOUT US

The Cosmetology Instructors Network (CIN) is a new professional organization that promotes excellence in Cosmetology education and training throughout the United States.  Founded in 2024 by experienced instructors, CIN has quickly grown to include members from all over the United States, representing various Cosmetology professionals and specialties.

Our mission is to provide high-quality professional development opportunities and resources for Cosmetology instructors and to advocate for the continued improvement of Cosmetology education and our students nationally. 

While there have been several previous attempts to bring together Cosmetology instructors across the United States in the past, teaching through the COVID-19 pandemic showed us the importance of both collaborating on ways to continue educational programs and the benefits of having an open dialogue and sharing resources.  Our informal Zoom meetings throughout the pandemic made us realize that having a professional organization was the obvious next step.

There are so many innovative things being done in Cosmetology education throughout the states, but the ability to communicate these initiatives was lacking.  Our mission is to create a space where instructors cannot only work together but have a united voice on changes that could benefit our profession.

CIN is already trying to make a significant impact on the Cosmetology Instructors landscape throughout the United States.  The organization will be making an announcement regarding its plan to create committees and working groups amongst its members that will explore ways to create shared resources, best practices, and student outcomes that can be implemented statewide.

In addition, CIN offers a variety of professional development opportunities and resources to Cosmetology Instructors throughout the United States, including in-person and online workshops, symposiums, and networking events. 

CIN is also trying to play an essential role in advocating for the improvement of Cosmetology education throughout the United States and hoping to get noticed.  CIN hoping that our organization will be invited to speak with the State Board Directors to help create new educational requirements.

CIN is also planning on collaborating with other cosmetology organizations and training facilities.  This partnership with other educators will allow for greater coordination and access to additional resources.  We also looking to partnership with vendors to get a greater discount on students' supplies.

The CIN values compassion and seeks to create a safe environment for instructors to ask questions and seek guidance.  We know it's impossible to be an expert on everything and this group offers a safe space for instructors to run to when they need answers. 

The CIN Administration Staff is excited about the future of our organization.  We are hoping that our organization will have the potential to make a real difference in the lives of Cosmetology instructors and beauty professionals.

CIN will be committed to providing our members with the resources and support they need to succeed.  We also believe that by working together, we can make a positive impact on the quality of Cosmetology instructors and our students.

OUR MISSION

Cosmetology Instructors Network has a simple mission: "Bringing Instructors Together to Advance Beauty Industry Professions".

Our mission forms the core of the annual Cosmetology Instructors Network Educational Summit and provides a purpose.  It is our goal to develop an organization that will serve as a resource to the Cosmetology Instructors throughout the United States; to be a resource for novice and experienced instructors alike, and for those who teach in Public or Private educational schools.

OUR VISION

Our greatest cause and moment to gather is at our annual Cosmetology Instructors Network Educational Summit, which will be held in August of each year.  We hope that this Educational Summit will provide educational offerings that enhance the ability to teach classes and offer new tips, tricks, and ideas.  Additionally, The Instructors Summit provides networking opportunities and allows attendees to spend time with fellow instructors from across the United States.  Our goal is that the Instructor Summit will continue to be an asset for all Cosmetology Instructors.
